| Skill Requirements |
| Education : Some high school.
|
| Credentials : AZ or Class 1 |
| Experience: 2 - 3 years verifiable experience |
| Languages : English required, French an asset.
|
| Work Setting : Store deliveries, pin switches, dock level deliveries.
|
| Vehicle and Equipment Experience : Van work with excellent backing
skills
|
| Weight handling : up to 23 kg. (50 lbs.)
|
| Specific skills : Load, unload and move products and materials by hand
or with basic material handling equipment. Experience with power tailgate an
asset.
|
| Security and Safety : Criminal Record check (abstract), driver's
abstract.
|
| Own tools/equipment : Steel-toed Safety footwear, gloves.
|
| Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities : Local Distribution
warehouse delivering to retail outlets locally and within a five hour radius
of Ottawa.
|
| Work Site Environment : Public Transportation is available.
|
| Essential skills : Reading text, Document use such as bills of lading,
stickers for special handling, etc.
|
|
|
| The client : The client is a major
Canadian retailer with over 100 stores in Ontario and Quebec. This may lead to
full time employment with a chance to advance.
